“And if I only could
I’d make a deal with God
And I’d get him to swap our places
Be running up that road
Be running up that hill
Be running up that building….”
Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) from Kate Bush’s 1985 LP Hounds of Love

You can’t really go wrong with a mountain on a sunny day. This is one of the Gwanaksan trails in Gwanakgu, South West Seoul. There is a part closer to Seoul National University entrance that has impressive views in return for a fairly easy climb.
On the way down, wooden totems line the path with their expressive carved painted faces.

I hold a BA (Hons) in Dance & Culture (2000) and MA in Dance Studies (2005), both from the University of Surrey. I first started my yoga practice in 1998 as a complement to my dance training. I completed my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2011, and I’m a Yoga Alliance UK registered yoga teacher. I have taught yoga to adults and young people in the U.K. and South Korea. Recently, I have been training in aerial yoga and aerial trapeze in addition to my mat-based practice. Over the years, I have developed a fun, dance-inspired style of vinyasa flow and restorative yoga. Originally from Harborne, Birmingham, U.K., I am now based in Edgbaston.
